Islamabad Zoo is located at the foot of Daman-e-Koh view point in Islamabad. Islamabad Zoo has more than 300 animals including 200 birds of different kinds were also there for visitors, besides tigers, lions and other animals. Islamabad zoo started in 1978 as a refuge to leopard, spotted deer and Indian gazelle found in the region. Later Islamabad zoo became a part of Japanese garden.
